Roman Denarii

Questioned at the meeting if real or fake.

The denarius was the typical silver coin from 211 BC to about 215 AD.

The first coin is of the emperor, Caracalla. He ruled from 198-217 AD.

The second coin is of Severus Alexander, who ruled from 222-235 AD.

The third coin looks like a youthful Caracalla, but it could also be his brother, Geta.
